Our store - what is it like? Well, we have most everything! We stock a wide selection of bulk dried fruits, beans, nuts, and grains. We have lots of meat and dairy substitutes, as well as local organic and grass-fed meats. When it comes to nutritional vitamins, nutritional herbs, and nutritional supplements, our prices are hard to beat! We have some excellent cookbooks and lots of books on health. As for juicers, grinders, and other kitchen aids, we have them, too. We have a beautiful collection of water crocks, as well as the jugs and stands. We also offer some of the healthiest and best-tasting breads and cookies available.
Being we are just starting this Internet adventure and haven't had time to get all the items listed, you may not see something that you are looking for. That doesn't mean that we don't have it. Ask us! If we don't have it, we will do our best to get it as quickly as possible.
We have many suppliers. "NOW" is our largest supplier of vitamins and supplements. You are probably familiar with the book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing by Dr. James Balch, MD. He says, "I really recommend "NOW" for these important reasons:
1) Quality control is a key,
2) Research is reflected in products, and
3) Their prices are reasonable."
We have carried NOW's products for almost 15 years and have been very pleased.
Our goal is to help people become healthy, mentally, physically and spiritually. We believe that the Bible has the answers on how to be healthy, just as it does on how to be saved. We want to try to educate people to change their diet back to the diet that God gave in the beginning - fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. (Vegetables were not added to the diet until after sin). Before the flood people were so healthy that they were living until they were 900 plus years old! Within 10 generations after the flood, with the addition of meat to the diet, men were doing well to make it to 150 years old! God designed us to be vegetarians, and He said that if we ate like He told us to, none of the diseases that were on the people of the world would be on His people. But, sadly, how to eat is not taught to people in most of the churches today. In fact, many people are taught that it doesn't matter what you eat, just pray over it and all will be well! Well, look around, the churches are full of as much cancer, heart disease, depression, and every other health problem as the world is. This is not Gods plan for His people.
We hope to be able to help people understand the necessity of changing their diet and also make it easier for them, by making the food and nutritional supplements needed available at affordable prices.

We are a full line Nutritional Supplement Store. We have dried fruits, nuts, grains, beans, meat & dairy substitutes, herbs, nutritional vitamins and nutritional supplements, cookbooks, juicers, grinders, healthy soaps and the list just goes on and on and on. Anything that you would buy in case lot is 10% cheaper. If you would like something that you don't see in the catalog, please ask us. We can usually get it in. We do our best to keep the prices low so that everyone can afford to eat and live healthfully.
The Beginning Of... (This is the original owner's history for your information).
Our family business, which is our Health Food Store - Roesch's Natural Foods, began in February of 1995. My husband and I had always wanted to start a Nutritional Vitamin Store, but with raising five children and living in the country (the road turned to gravel just after our house), we didn't think it was really possible. Then one day, as we were considering the idea again, we received a phone call from a local ladies club, inviting me to come to the local library and speak to them about being vegetarians. (I have never had a bite of any kind of meat in my life, including fish and chicken). We said we would be glad to come and I cooked up lots of things for them to try and took the kids and went to the library on the appointed day. The ladies were very impressed with the food and enjoyed the lecture and afterwards, one of the ladies asked me if her son had ever spoken with me. I said I didn't think so as I didn't know who he was. She said, "I'll send him out". Several days later, we received a call from Carl Feather, one of the leading editors at the local newspaper - THE STAR BEACON. He did a long interview with us, and in a couple days the article was on the front page of the "Current" section of the paper. Our lives were never the same again! The phone practically rang off the hook - "Where can we buy this kind of food?" "Do you have recipes?" "Do you have cooking classes?"
We had an apartment attached to our home above the garage which we had built for my mother-in-law. She lived with us for a while and decided it was just too quiet in the country, she missed the city - and she moved back to Cleveland. So, we decided to turn the apartment into a classroom and fix the garage up into a store. That was the beginning of our Nutritional Vitamin Store. That worked great for about a year. But, then we outgrew the garage. So, we decided to sell our home on 14 beautiful acres, and get a "real" store.
Next, we rented an old garage on the inter-state and turned it into a Nutritional Vitamin Store. We out grew that in another year! That is when we found the place that we are at now, in Geneva, OH. We bought this property. It had a building on the property that had been a restaurant. We remodeled the restaurant and turned it into a Nutritional Vitamin Store! It is a great location, right on a busy highway, about 2 miles out of town. We knew we never wanted to live in the city and try to raise children, so this place works out perfect. We have 6 acres here, pretty property, with a creek running through it. We built a cabin way back in the woods where we live, and have been improving the land with fruit trees, a nice pond and a barn that we eventually want to turn into classrooms again. We are the largest Nutritional Vitamin Store in our County. Maybe we'll even branch out and become Nutritional Vitamin Stores someday! |

| Our business started as Roesch Natural Foods, which was founded by Al and Tammy Roesch in 1995. The business was run out of their home until 1998, when they relocated to Geneva, Ohio. The business thrived for 7 years. At that point, 3 of their 5 children had gone off to college and/or work, leaving them the desire to retire from the storefront business and finish raising their last two children
